Always Welcome

At Duke Memorial children are central to the life of the congregation. Our hope is that your children will not only be welcome but will become ministers in our church, worshiping and serving as full members of Christ's body.
Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. - Mark 10:14

Featured Opportunities

Parent's Night Out

Once a month (on rotating weeknights) we host a virtual Parent's Night Out to provide a chance for fellowship, casual conversation, and time together with other parents who are navigating some of the same stresses in pandemic parenting, or parenting in general. This is an informal time of virtual gathering.
Please email Jennifer to find out more information.

Online Worship

Worship looks and feels different during Covid-19, especially for children. While we can't be physically present together for worship each week, we still strive to make worship an inclusive time for all ages. It's our hope that your family can worship together, work on the pew projects at home, and have conversations throughout the week about the Bible stories, prayers, and songs. If you have any questions or would like to have further conversation about worshiping at home with children, please reach out to Pastor Jennifer at any time.

Safe Sanctuaries

At Duke Memorial, we believe that children are a gift from God.  In order to demonstrate our absolute and unwavering commitment to the physical safety and spiritual growth of all of our children and youth we have a Safe Sanctuaries Policy.  The Safe Sanctuaries Policy is a set of guidelines and procedures implemented to create an environment in which children, youth, and adults who work with them have boundaries of safe space.  All volunteers and workers with infants, children, and youth have had background checks and have received training in our Safe Sanctuaries Policies.
