Minister of Music (Part-Time) or Minister of Music/Organist (Full-Time)
The Minister of Music (or Minister of Music / Organist) provides artistic, liturgical, and administrative leadership for Duke Memorial’s music ministry. This position collaborates with the pastoral staff to plan music that reinforces worship and our theological identity and reflects our commitment to social and economic justice, racial equity, welcome, and inclusion.
The position is available either part-time (20 hours per week) or full-time (35 hours per week) if also serving as organist.
Benefits include paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave; life/disability insurance; and retirement contributions. The full-time position (Minister of Music / Organist) also includes a health reimbursement arrangement.

Salary Range:
- Part-Time Minister of Music (20 hrs/wk): $28,000 to $30,000
- Full-Time Minister of Music / Organist (35 hrs/wk): $45,000 to $50,000

- A representative repertoire list of organ pieces (if applicable) as well as choral anthems, pieces, or hymns you are highly experienced in directing/accompanying.

Accompanist
POSITION OVERVIEW
This part-time role includes providing accompaniment for Sunday worship services, rehearsals, and special services. The ideal candidate will have experience in a church setting, proficiency in organ and/or piano, and strong sight-reading abilities. They should be willing to collaborate with the Minister of Music, choir, and ministry team to provide music that supports the church’s Mission, Vision, and Welcome Statements.
