Thursday Study and Service Group

The Thursday Study and Service Group meets every Thursday from September through May from 11 AM to 12:15 PM. We read and discuss chapters of the Bible or a spiritual book. Some of the books we have read include Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster, The Cup of our Life by Joyce Rupp, and A Tree Full of Angels by Macrina Wiederkehr, a wonderful book that teaches us how to see the holy in the ordinary things of life. Last year we studied Psalms and the book of Romans.

Once a month, usually on the first Thursday, we visit homebound members of our church and then have lunch together at different local restaurants. We also have a Christmas covered dish and an end-of-the year lunch.
