Lenten Soupers and Lenten Reflection
Lent means many things to many people. It has been said that “a family that prays together stays together”. Shall we add, “A church that eats soup together grows together?”
Each Wednesday night starting on February 13 and ending on March 12 we will gather in the Soul Café from 6pm-6:25pm for a time of Soup---and yes the Soup will no doubt warm your body.
Then stick around for the Soul Café LENTEN REFLECTION GROUP where your soul can be warmed. The Lenten Reflection Group will meet each Wednesday from 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Minnie P. Gates classroom. Instead of giving up something for Lent why not try adding some depth to your life with a time of reflection with others on what is really important as we journey together toward Easter.
This group will include prayer-like songs led by Fuller Sasser on the guitar (no singing skills required) and a reflection time led by Frank Newsome that will include some ancient spiritual practices.
You can sign up for the Lenten Reflection Group on sheets in the lobby in front of the church office or you can contact Frank Newsome.
