Dr. Bill Bixler
Dr. Bill Bixler is a licensed psychologist who has been in clinical practice for over thirty years. He graduated from Fuller Seminary with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and an M.A. in theology. He is co-founder, with Greg Hill, of the Center for Emotional & Sexual Health in Cary. Bill is married to Robbin and has two daughters, Melissa and Heather.
Laurea Glusman McAllister, MSW, MDiv, LCSW, CEDS
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist
Works with adults, adolescents, and families. Areas of special interest include eating disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, mood disorders, spiritual issues, women’s issues, and recovery from trauma or abuse. Laurea typically works from modalities such as Interpersonal Process Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Insight oriented therapy.
Supports adults, adolescents, and children struggling to grow and meet the challenges they face in their relationships, work, and at school. He has worked in both private practice and community mental health settings.
Laura Barnard Crosskey
Laura Barnard Crosskey graduated from Duke with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Divinity. She views her work as coming alongside those whose lives have been impacted by depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, relationship difficulties, chronic pain/illness, and loss. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, private practice, and Veteran's Affairs medical centers gaining experience in treatment modalities that are supported by the latest research. Laura has also received chaplaincy training and is completing the United Methodist Deacon ordination process. She has a particular interest in burnout and in working with divinity students, chaplains, and pastors, and she has served as a consultant to churches and missionary organizations. In her work with clients, Laura compassionately helps people explore and mindfully work into their values.
